Journal's background

The challenges faced by educational research in Bolivia may vary over time and circumstances, but some problems hinder the diffusion valuation of research findings. Therefore, in January 2019, the Bolivian Journal of Education (REBE) emerged as a response to the objectives of the Latin American Education Network (RELE) to contribute to the development of educational research in Bolivia. The editorial team, mostly composed of university professors, felt motivated by the need to enhance scientific writing and its contribution to academic communities.

In 2023, the Adventist University of Bolivia decided to include REBE in its publishing house. This collaboration was based on the fundamental role the institution plays in training professionals in education and psychology through undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This reflects the university's commitment to promoting research and knowledge exchange in these fields.

With the inclusion of REBE, the Adventist University of Bolivia demonstrates a strong commitment to publishing high-quality research and academic work in education and psychology, benefiting both the academic community and society. REBE is indexed in several prestigious databases (AMELICA, European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences ERIHPLUS, Latin American Network of Academic Journals in Social Sciences and Humanities LatinRev, EUROPUB) and has subscribed to the DORA Declaration, highlighting its commitment to quality and relevance in research.

REBE has been and continues to be a journal that keeps its call for papers open throughout the year aimed at fostering beneficial dialogues for the advancement of Latin American educational research.
